Firm certification is easy and straightforward – you need only submit a short application and fee to EPA. The form, and associated material, is available on EPA’s website at https://www.epa.gov/lead/getcertified. Certified firms will be able to advertise that they are certified by EPA under the RRP program, and will also be given rights to use EPA’s new “Lead-Safe Certified Firm” logo.
Remember, to fully comply with this regulation, some of your key employees may need to obtain individual certification (by taking a one-day certification course) in addition to your firm certification. Visit https://www.epa.gov/lead/getcertified to learn how to become a certified renovator.
